Our priorities

Fairhope citizens deserve clean water, a responsible approach to development, and the protection of the small-town quality of life that makes our city so unique.

INFRASTRUCTURE

We must upgrade and maintain our electric, sewer, and water systems. Sewage overflow and pollution of Mobile Bay should be a top priority.  We should be innovative in our approach to transportation, encouraging an intuitive balance between drivers and pedestrians.  Parking and new infrastructure should be conducive to the needs of our residents without inhibiting the view of our natural surroundings.

PARKS & RECREATION

Fairhope is not a place people move to live a sedentary lifestyle.  We like to move and play! Although there is a strong vision for Parks and Recreation, actions have stalled, and in some cases, never materialized. We need to follow through from concept to completion in a timely manner and continue to identify additional areas for improvement.

NATURAL RESOURCES

Fairhope is known for magnificent sunsets, panoramic views, and scenic waterfront. Collaboration and consensus are vital to attain purposeful, responsible development that does not put a strain on our natural resources.  Our wetlands, watersheds, and coastline are worth protecting.  It’s time to get serious about what we allow to be dumped in our public waters and how we approach policy that supports these initiatives.

LOCAL BUSINESSES

We need to support local businesses as they strive to reach their full potential. We must give local merchants a voice as we work through our decision-making process regarding zoning and sales tax.

Invest in a Better Fairhope

I believe in leadership, service, and hard work. My goal is to be a part of a city council that listens, works together, and serves the people of Fairhope.
